The
Resolution
Of the Congress of Belarusian Political Emigrants
Supported by the Belarusian
People's Republic's Council as the representative of the Belarusian independence
in the world, and confessing the ideals of the Belarusian People's Republic,
On the basis of the present political situation in Belarus, which is characterized
by the unlimited power of A. Lukashenko's anti-Belarusian and anti-democratic
regime,
Supporting the efforts
of the Belarusian diaspora, which assists the national movement to build
the Belarusian independent state,
We, the participants
of the Congress of Belarusian political emigrants, have made the following
decisions:
1. To create a single
coordination center of the "last wave" political refugees
with the purpose to improve the effectiveness of common activities by:
a) establishing the Belarusian Union as a body representing the interests
of political emigrants;
b) electing the Council of representatives, its Coordinator and the
Secretariat.
2. To create the pre-conditions for effective representation of the
"Belarusian problem" in Europe and in the world by the means
of:
a) mass information campaigns;
b) co-organized political actions;
c) wider cooperation with European political and social institutions.
3. To establish close cooperation with European Union structures and
other institutions on the Belarusian political emigration issue by:
a) organizing informative and advisory activities on the issue of rights
acknowledgment of the Belarusian political refugees for organizations
interested;
b) providing support to Belarusian political refugees.
4. To render information and other service by:
a) creating one information and analysis center of the Belarusian diaspora;
b) establishing further Internet facilities:
- Internet information site;
- Internet newspaper;
- Internet radio.
c) establishing a humanitarian fund to support the growth of democracy
in Belarus and support Belarusian political refugees.
